Joy is currently working remotely while going to grad school! Joy makes all of our playlists the night before each open skate. If you are coming to skate and would like to hear a song played, request it here and you may hear it when you visit!

All songs must be submitted by 5pm the night before each open skate.

*Please note that there is no outside food or drink permitted to be brought into the rink. This includes water bottles.

We have a full concession stand featuring items such as

candy, water, soda, pizza, chips, and more!

Rink Policies to Note...

• No outside food or drink is permitted, including water bottles, unless you have booked a private party. Please see the Private Party page for more information.

• There is no charge for spectators, however, only adult spectators are permitted at no charge unless under special circumstances (ex. infants or guests with disabilities). 

• You may bring in your own skates as long as they have clean wheels and boots and brakes/toe stops/dance plugs. 

• No skate boards, hover boards, or scooters are permitted.

• You may not carry anyone while on skates.

• Parents/guardians may walk along the edge of the wall with new skaters after removing their shoes. We also have skate trainers available to rent for $4.

• Strollers, wheelchairs, carts, etc. are not permitted on the floor. 

• Please keep in mind that all of our safety policies are meant to protect the wellbeing of all guests. If you have any questions about your visit, please contact us.

Joy's Roller Rink (previously Mentor Skateland) is under new ownership by the Mason Family, a local family with deep roots in Mentor and roller skating.

The place to skate and celebrate since 1908! Join us for family, fitness, and fun! We offer open skates, birthday parties, school parties, and fundraisers for your organization! Also, the Rink is available for private parties and events where you may need a large facility. We have a group and private learn-to-skate lessons for all ages, from beginners to those interested in USA Roller Sports competition. We strive for a safe & family friendly environment where everyone can enjoy getting together and making new memories and Skating friends! We hope to see you soon at Joy’s Roller Rink!
